Who We Support
We currently support 6 charities and a few other projects across Ireland.
Charities
The Stauros Foundation
The Stauros Foundation seeks to minister to people who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs and to offer support to their families.
Working alongside the local church, Stauros extends the hand of fellowship to those who have alcohol or other drug related problems, with the view of helping them recover. Stauros promotes the Christian message of Jesus Christ as the means of that recovery.
Christian Family Centre
Christian Family Centre (N.I.) Limited was incorporated on 18 Nov 1991 and is located in Co Antrim. The company’s status is listed as “Live”and it currently has 6 directors. It’s founding director was Mr Samuel John Millar.
HOPE North West
The Hope North West local charity organisation has been in existence for many years and has seen its role in education and prevention increase greatly over the past decade. It has created the permanent post of Education Officer and works closely with the Drug and Alcohol Strategy Teams and other voluntary and statutory organisations to provide a quality information and support service across all sections of our community.
Exodus
Exodus is a Youth Discipleship Organisation that exists to call generations of young people to boldly follow Jesus and become life-long disciple makers. It provides opportunities, training, resources and partnerships to inspire and support the discipleship of young people in Ireland and Europe.
The Right Key
The Right Key is open to everyone in the community. We provide tea/coffee and hot meals in a friendly, safe social space. We particularly welcome people in the process of recovery from alcohol addiction.
We are a music cafe. Many of our activities are based around music for health, healing and recovery. Several singing circles use the cafe on a weekly basis. This includes a singing circle of recovering addicts called ‘Voice of Recovery, it meets for practice and rehearsals at the The Old Schoolhouse once a week.
Portadown Temperance Council
The purpose of Portadown Temperance Council is to provide and support the education of the general public of the negative impact and dangers to health (physical, mental and spiritual) of alcohol and drugs, with a particular focus on children and youth (although not exclusively), to provide beneficiaries with accurate information through training programmes in schools and youth organisations to assist them in making healthier life choices.
Promoting a Christian ethos to the issues surrounding the use of alcohol and drugs, the charity promotes thoughtful consideration of the moral consequences of alcohol and drug abuse and the wider impact on the family, and the community including focus on safety and potential crime prevention. It is the charity’s aim to provide education to all sections of the community in Northern Ireland and if possible and appropriate, further afield.
